Already, the programme is well advanced. In the morning, the Minister for Health has been invited to open the conference. He will be followed by keynotes from Pierre Meulien, Executive Director of the Innovative Medicines Initiative, and Gwynne Morley, General Manager of IQVIA who, respectively, will deal with public-private partnerships in new medicines development.

After the coffee break, two fora will, consecutively, examine the digital healthcare and consumer healthcare landscapes, and already senior leaders in the private and public sectors have committed to contributing to the debates. The fora will be followed after lunch by The Learning Lab – a unique panel that will hear from thought-leaders about how we plan the future for innovative medicines. A panel discussion called The Patients’ Experience will hear the real-life stories of people who use our medicines. In the evening, the dinner speaker is Paul Reid, the HSE’s Director General. The moderator for the day is Virgin Media News’ Colette Fitzpatrick.

The conference will be integrated with our digital campaign, ‘Innovate for Life’ – a series of short films telling an industry impact story across Places, Patients and Pioneers. The long-form documentary will debut at the conference in the evening, coinciding with the keynote speech by IPHA’s President, Aidan Lynch. We want you to be part of this important national event for Ireland’s originator pharmaceutical industry. We believe the event this year will be unrivalled in terms of venue, production, thought-leadership and engagement. It will seek to situate our industry squarely in the domestic healthcare innovation context. It will narrate a positive, stirring story about the impact we make in people’s lives in every community, as well as looking to the future of innovation in medicines.

We look forward to seeing you on November 21st.
