Territory Manager

Job description

As a Territory Manager you will be responsible for managing sales activities within a designated geographic area. You will develop and execute sales strategies, build relationships with healthcare professionals, and promote our products to meet sales targets and revenue goals.

Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share within assigned territories.
  • Identify key accounts, healthcare facilities, and healthcare professionals within the territory and develop plans to target them effectively.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and development.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and purchasing managers.
  • Understand customer requirements, address inquiries and concerns, and provide product demonstrations and educational sessions as needed.
  • Develop and execute account plans to cultivate customer loyalty and maximise sales opportunities.
Product Promotion and Marketing:
  • Promote [Company Name]'s products and services to healthcare professionals through presentations, product demonstrations, and promotional events.
  • Stay updated on product features, benefits, and applications to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and distribute marketing materials, sales tools, and educational resources.
Sales Performance and Reporting:
  • Monitor sales performance within the territory, track progress against sales targets, and report on sales activities and results.
  • Provide regular updates to management on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
  • Use CRM software to maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities.
Training and Development:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new product developments, and best practices in sales and territory management.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and professional development.
  • Share insights and best practices with colleagues to support team success and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
